Treat your loved one or a friend to a Gift Voucher on board the White Nancy
The White Nancy is a purpose built restaurant based on a traditional style steel narrowboat. She is 50ft long by 6ft 10in wide and powered by an 1800cc water cooled BMC diesel engine. When cruising, she travels at between 3 and 4 miles per hour. The boat is named after the white tower on the ridge south of Bollington. According to one popular story, the monument was built by the Gaskell family to commemorate the battle of Waterloo and was given the name after one of the ladies of the family.

Where we go: Our evening cruise takes us from Bollington Wharf along an unspoiled stretch of the canal, which, in its beautifully quiet, rural isolation, represents much of the charm of the Macclesfield Canal. This section, which is over 500ft above sea level, winds northwards to our turning point at Higher Poynton, a round trip of approximately three hours. Afternoon cruises are along the same route, but turn around at Adlington Basin, a round trip of approximately two and a half hours.
